Here's Exactly How I Went From "Corporate Manager" To "MLM Loser" To "Expert Internet Marketer", All In 1 Year.

Some months ago I was spending every second of my awaked hours thinking about a way out of my full time job, a way out of my frustrated MLM business and a way out of all the debt my entrepreneurship had left behind.

Totally worn out with so much information, I just could not come to find a solution to my frustrations. I was seriously contemplating to quit and spend the rest of my life as an employee when I finally found a solution and, at last, I was able to come out of some of the darkest times I’ve ever lived.

Here’s my story and how all the above happened.

I worked in the corporate world of human resources for 13 years and honestly it was very sad to see so many TALENTED people with little hope to advance in their careers and their lives, going paid day to paid day, overworked and stressed out. One day I realized that I was in the same struggle and that unless I made a radical change to start my own project I was heading to retire broke, tire, stressed out and unhappy.

Somehow, without nobody recommending it to me or anything like that I ended up reading “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki. I sadly realized that I was trapped in the “rat race” (two months from bankruptcy) without much hope for a more prosperous future.

It was 2006, while pregnant of my 3rd child, I made up my mind and decided to pursue my financial independence.

As a wife and the mother of 3 small kids, I desperately needed less stress and more time to be an active part of my home and my kids’ growing experience. Plus, I definitely needed more CASH.

How I Ended Up Getting Into The MLM Industry

   One day, I bumped into a good friend of mine, who told me about his new home-based business project, and how excited he was about this great company and business opportunity that he had just started.

   He didn’t really have to talk or explain much, I was IN within the first 15 minutes of the conversation.

   I was all ready to conquer the whole world with my delicious powder drinks and potion formulas to help people get healthier and thinner.

   I started to attend every single event I was told about, I could never stop talking to my husband about all the successful stories I heard at these events. I day-dreamed about how soon I was going to be making at least 10K per month.

   I soon filled up my small home office with vitamin bottles and shake mixes.

   I was selling!

   I was excited!

   I signed my first team member, she was so great! She started selling right away. Everything was looking great, until I realized that in order to get my hands into the residual income and the kind of income I needed, I required to sign more people, I needed to sell the business opportunity and not just the products.

   Everything started to change once I turned into this cheerful and annoying PITCHER, pitching my opportunity to every 2 legged-creature and wanting to change everyone’s lives.

To me network or multilevel marketing was the “the most marvelous and smarter type of business ever created” And please, don’t take me wrong here, I still think MLM is great, but it is definitely NOT a solution for everyone.

   I could not understand why other people didn’t see the opportunity the same way I did.

   So I kept trying hard: I made my list of friends and family (the famous “warm market”), I used to invite them to all kind of presentations: breakfasts, lunches and dinners. I made and handed out business cards and brochures. I even wrote booklets about the "Hidden Secrets of MLM" and distributed them everywhere.

   I went as far as contacting STRANGERS in shopping malls.

   The sad thing: I was only making a few hundred dollars a month.

   So I signed with at least 2 more companies, thinking that maybe the products of the first company were just not the right ones to sell. A few months later I was back to the beginning, a few people under me, more bottles and creams in my office and more debt.

   The funny thing: I was aware that in order to substitute my corporate income, I needed to sign at least 1,000 people. I read somewhere that I could do it by promoting a 5×5 solution (I sign in 5, just 5 and my 5 sign in 5 each and so on).

   I am sure this solution worked years ago in the golden years of Don Failla.

   Soon enough, I became frustrated by all these old-fashioned methods of selling business opportunities to people who weren’t interested. My so-called “warm market” turned out to be colder than an iceberg: all integrated by my neighbors, friends, mom, cousins, sister and my husband’s friends, to name a few.

   After signing less than 10 people in my organizations, some of my closest and best friends, who more likely signed out of their love and respect for me, than out of their desire to get into a “business opportunity”; all I accumulated was more debt, insecurities and hopelessness.

The Big Deadly Mistake Network Marketers Make With Their Businesses When They Start Marketing... That Actually Makes Things WORSE

   Mistake: To think that everyone needs the products and therefore everyone will be interested in the business opportunity. I learned that this was not the case the hard way.

   “One day, I was sitting in my uncle’s kitchen table with Claudio my husband right beside me. We were showing my uncle and cousin a presentation of a great travel membership I was selling back then, with the hopes to get my uncle to join my MLM business opportunity.

   The Power Point Presentation I had spent some hours creating came out nicely and smooth and it all went perfect until the end of my presentation. As great as the product was, my uncle and cousin as business men themselves, could never be interested in a product that they perceived as little valued because of the great commission I was going to earn.

   At that moment I realized that the problem wasn’t the product or my huge commission, the problem was that once again I was pitching my business to the most untargeted prospects. My uncle and cousin had never shown an interest to join my opportunity or any other home based business for that matter. It was me who thought that some way some how I could convince them.

Once again I was in the middle of the “MLM Recruiter Trap” pitching my business to the most untargeted prospects!”

The Big “Ah-Hah!” That Changed
Everything For Me

   It was that night and at that moment, I decided that no matter what I did I wasn’t going to pitch on any of my friends and family members EVER AGAIN. Instead I was going to turn to the internet to find more professional and effective ways to promote my business.

   So I started to search for a realistic and simple internet system.

It was in this search that I found myself reading “Magnetic Sponsoring” by Mike Dillard.

What a relief and change of breeze I felt!

Here was this nice looking guy giving me the reasons behind all my frustrations in the MLM world. I started to get my HOPES back. In a matter of days I had read everything written by Dillard and that’s how I found “The G.P.T Report”.

All this reading helped me arrive at 2 conclusions:

There was no need for me to leave and give up on the marvelous network marketing (MLM) industry.
I just needed to change my approach.

So that’s how by the end of 2008, I officially said “goodbye” to the conventional MLM marketing methods and began to use the principles of “attraction marketing” and the revolutionary concept of GPT.

I turned Mike Dillard into my mentor. I followed him everywhere and did everything just as he recommended me. So, sooner than later, I joined the MLM business opportunity that Dillard represented.

But wait, I know what you’re thinking!

I decided not to sign directly under Mike Dillard, even though that would have been a logical thing to do, he is obviously a top earner and a great leader. But, he also is too big, too famous and more likely too busy.

I looked for someone who, in a way, was going to take me by my hand and guide me step by step; someone big, but not so big as not be able to give me time, tips and advice. I needed someone I’d feel free to call anytime during my learning process.

My thinking turned out to be PERFECT. I chose a great team and Internet Marketing System and soon I was part of a team of top earners and online marketing experts that guided me through my business transformation.

And as it turned out this team was just below Mike Dillard so I ended up having Mike as my upline team, which to me was truly GREAT!
